(PIX11) — Former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger was admitted to New York Presbyterian Hospital Tuesday after falling in his home.
The hospital said in a statement that they expect the 89-year-old Nobel Peace Prize winner to be discharged later in the day.
How Kissinger fell or the nature of his injuries are not immediately known. He was brought in for observation.
The former diplomat served under presidents Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford. Kissinger has continued to be an active voice on U.S Foreign Policy, speaking at the World Economic Forum in January.
