BRONX, NY (PIX11) Surprising news the officer who shot and killed a deli worker will not be indicted or even face a grand jury at all according to the Bronx District Attorney. This information comes months after a bodega worker was killed outside this Deli in the Bronx by an officer who apparently accidentally fired his gun.  Today there was a protest for those who think the officer is getting off much too easily.

20-year-old bodega worker Reynaldo Cuevas tries to escape from a trio of robbers who barged into the store on September 6th. You then see on security video, Cuevas rushing outside and running into Bronx officer Ramysh Bangali who started to fall to the ground then fired at Cuevas. The officer, and now, the Bronx district attorney say the gun accidentally went off.

District Attorney Robert Johnson has said officer Bangali is not responsible for Cuevas’ death, and only the three robbers who ran into the store that day will be charged.

Cuevas’ mother spoke out over the weekend talking of a lawsuit against the officer who thought her son was a robber. She, along with the rest of the group we talked with in the Bronx, believe he should be fired and no longer wear a uniform.

The family is expected to file a 25-million dollar lawsuit against the officer on Monday.

Thats hilarious cause guns dont accidently go off, unless you dilibertly pull the trigger or bu accident but the weapon needs to be loaded and triggger pulled to go off! That cop is inexperienced and should be relieved of duty.. Just sayin
