Stolen pug returned to Long Island puppy store

HUNTINGTON, NEW YORK (PIX11)- Some very good news for some very worried pet shop owners.

A puppy was stolen from the Yippity Yap Puppies store in Huntington, Long Island on Thursday evening.

After 30 calls to Suffolk County police a man showed up to the store on Saturday and returned the dog.

The pug is worth about $1,700.

The owners of the store say a woman put the black pug in her purse and took off, they believe the man who returned the pup was woman’s the father.

No arrests have been made.

The dog is doing just fine.
