He’s wanted in connection with a rape Sunday morning at the Webster Laundromat in the Bronx.  According to police, he punched and dragged a 27 year old worker into a back room  where he raped her.  The woman’s six month old son lay nearby in a stroller.

Police say the suspect dragged his victim behind this door and raped her Sunday morning.

Gonazalez has a long history of violent attacks on women, according to police. In 1991 he was convicted of attempted rape and served 13 years in prison.  He went back for another three years for failing to register after his release.

He had visited the laundromat a day before the rape. While he was having a coat cleaned, he went across the street to the corner deli for a sandwich and was picked up on a surveillance camera. The victim was able to identify him as her attacker.

Anyone with information about the wherabouts of Gonzalez is asked to call the special police hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS.
