Police are on the hunt for a gunman who shot two people, killing one of them.

It all happened around 1:15 in the morning at the corner of Utica Avenue and Presidents Street in Crown Heights, Brooklyn.

Neighbors heard the sound of gunfire and called 911.  When cops arrived they found a black car in the middle of the street.  Inside was a man, shot once in the head.  He was pronounced dead at the scene.    A 38-year old woman was found on the sidewalk screaming for help after she was grazed in the head by a bullet.

Paramedics rushed the woman to Kings County Hospital where she is now being treated for her injuries.   Cops questioned her this morning about what happened and if she knew who the shooter was.  However, the only description she was able to give was that it was a black man wearing a dark gray hooded sweashirt.

During the early morning hours, cops collected evidence and had Presidents street closed off to traffic.   At around seven o’clock in the morning, the Medical Examiner arrived to take the man’s body out of the car.

As of this writing, the car still remains on the street as part of an active crime scene.   Police would not release the identity of either of the victims and only would say the investigation is ongoing.
