Manhattan, NY – New York Fashion Week just wrapped up and the pros at DailyCandy helped us out with breaking down the latest trends they saw fresh off the runway into outfits everyone can afford.

“The greatest thing ever is that menswear is still in,” said DailyCandy’s ‘Everywhere Editor’ Tiffany Davis, adding, “On our intern Marta, I dressed her in a cool, equestrian-type pair of trousers that have a brocade finish to them.  Then, I paired it with a box pleat top and box pleat jacket to go on top of it.”

Davis says she saw leather in unexpected places for fall.

“What Marta is wearing is a cool A-line skirt with a thick leather hem on it.  Think of it as another basic and the leather adds some dimension, personality and some style,” said Davis.

Davis says sporty going sleeker for fall.

“Marta is wearing a pencil skirt with pops of color, paired with an anorak which is great layering for fall,” said Davis.

Davis added one last trend she notice on the runway, “Sunglasses are huge.  A lot of designers actually launched sunglasses lines and sent them down the runway, along with their clothing this year.”

As much as we all would like to love to afford the looks fresh off the runway, those are not even available, and they cost a lot but these looks DailyCandy put together, average people can afford.  “We hit Zara, H&M, Forever 21 and Steve Madden which would set you back about $300 and you would look like a $1,000,000!” said Davis.

MAKEUP

To add to your newly upgraded, the editors at Lover.ly , a primarily wedding website, showed us the latest makeup trend for Spring/Fall.

Makeup artists there say the classic Hollywood glam look is coming back.  That means a natural matte finish to your skin (no glow!), softer eyes with less eye shadow and a more dramatic lash line (either with false eyelashes or a thick dark liner) and bold lips (either red or hot pink).

Eat your heart out Audrey Hepburn!
