NEW YORK (PIX11)- Homeless advocates are accusing Mayor Bloomberg of turning his back on the city’s homeless.

On bitterly cold winter days, the homeless were guaranteed a place in shelters, as the city would enact their “code blue” policy.

When temps dipped below freezing, restrictions were eased and they would be let inside.

But according to homeless advocates, that has changed recently and the city has enforced restrictions, keeping the homeless in the cold.

The city has not commented on the accusation.
