(Los Angeles Times)- Justin Bieber‘s getting a bit feisty in his old age, ripping Patrick Carney on Tuesday after the Black Keys drummer told photogs Sunday night that the Biebs didn’t deserve a Grammy.

“Grammys are for, like, music, not for money … and he’s making a lot of money,” Carney told TMZ after being asked how he felt about Bieber’s Grammy-nomination snub. “He should be happy.”

That didn’t exactly make the younger musician happy.

“the black keys drummer should be slapped around haha,” Bieber tweeted Tuesday.

As of mid-afternoon, his wish had been retweeted by fans more than 36,000 times.

Bieber’s had a lot to make him cranky on Grammy Sunday, when he tried to live-stream online counterprogramming of himself against the awards show, only to be thwarted by a blast of Bieber Fever shutting down the streaming service twice.

“since nothing is working and im super upset i feel i gotta make it up to u. i should post a new song on twitter so you can still be excited,” he wrote.

Instead, a shirtless Bieber posted an apology video that included a snippet of some of his new music — and a visit from his little brother and sister.

No word on any apology to the Black Keys.

But this may not be as bad as the time a picture of Bieber supposedly fondling a female fan surfaced.

It seems as though ever since his breakup with pop star Selena Gomez, the Biebs has been on a bit of a downward spiral.

Including the time he was photographed smoking pot. So what’s next?

It’s time for The Black Keys to step up to the plate. They should match Justin Bieber's donations dollar for dollar for the many causes he supports and funds. Now this would be epic. Let’s see what you’re made of boys. It’s time to take your kahunas out of your mouth and play ball or go home. Not so funny anymore is it? Care to comment? No! The Keys silence speaks volumes. The measure of a man is in knowing when you are wrong and doing what is right. Belittling a teenager, is this your measure of a man? Middle aged men spatting with a kid. Who’s the kid now? Always think before you speak. Choosing your words carefully makes a big difference.

      Mary, you're clueless.
Beiber should step up to the plate and offer something substantial and righteous for music. Oh right, he's not a musician. Just corporate fluff product with a shelf life of…. oh, I think he's about to expire.

When any adults, middle aged men or otherwise, harass our children on the internet this is child abuse. A child’s wealthy must never justify child abuse. A week ago it was a comment today it’s an obsession. This guy, PC, is sick, and he must be stopped. Help protect our children today. We must take a stand. Please contact your government representatives today. Your support is appreciated. Thank you.
