2009 VH1 Hip Hop Honors – ArrivalsRapper DMX was arrested – yet again – this time in South Carolina for driving without a license.

According to authorities, the rapper whose real name is Earl Simmons was busted at around 1 a.m. Wednesday moments after he left a gas station in Greer.

After he was pulled over by police, Simmons failed to show a proper driving license. He was subsequently arrested and taken into custody.

He was released Wednesday after paying a fine.

This isn’t the first time the rapper has had a run-in with the law. In 2010, DMX was arrested in Arizona on charges of violating his probation by consuming alcohol. He served the full twelve-month jail sentence.

In 2011, he was arrested for speeding, reckless driving, and driving with a suspended license in a Phoenix suburb. While DMX admitted to speeding, he claims he was driving 85 mph, not 102 mph as charged. DMX later sued the Arizona police.
