Cops searching for suspect who pursued, brutally attacked Bronx teen for iPhone

Police are searching for the suspect who followed a teen to her Bronx apartment where he robbed and beat her for her iPhone.

According to authorities, the disturbing attack happened on Jan. 24 at about 2:15 p.m. The 17-year-old female victim was followed into her apartment building on East 187 Street by a male suspect who pushed her against the wall and then dragged her down a flight of stairs.

When they reached the bottom of the stairs, the suspect continuously punched the victim in the face and then removed her iPhone from her. The suspect fled the building and headed westbound on East 187 Street. The victim sustained bruising and lacerations to her face.

The suspect is described as a Male, Hispanic, in his early 20’s, approximately 6’2″, 160 lbs., with a slim build, light skin complexion and with black hair in corn row braids. The suspect was last seen wearing a burgundy coat with a fur-trimmed hood.

A video of the suspect assaulting the victim and fleeing the location was released by authorities Tuesday.
