A convicted sex offender is charged with sexually assaulting a New Jersey teen he met online.

Police say Joshua Elkins, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, met the 15-year-old girl in a Russian Roulette-style chat room.

They say Elkins drove to New Jersey last month where he sexually assaulted the girl at a Mahwah home and again in a Paramus hotel room.

He was arrested and is being held in an Indiana state prison.

Elkins reportedly has at least one prior conviction for sexual misconduct with a minor.
