Two people were killed and three injured after a driver lost control and flew off the Southern State Parkway on Long Island around 6 a.m. Sunday.
The black Nissan sedan flew off the road and slammed into a tree near Exit 23 in North Merrick. The violent crash killed two, who were pronounced dead at the scene.
Three others were critically injured — including the driver. According to reports, multiple limbs were severed in the bloody accident; paramedics had to search the nearby woods to locate them.
Authorities have not yet identified the crash victims.
