Bystander shot by cops in Empire State Building shooting sues NYPD

NEW YORK (PIX11) – The NYPD has been slapped with a lawsuit.

It’s from a woman who was wounded in last summer’s shooting in front of the Empire State Building.

Chenin Duclos, was among 10 bystanders, struck by police gunfire.

According to her, officers need better training to handle future similar situations.

Officers opened fire on the street after Jeffrey Johnson killed his former co-worker.

The NYPD has defended the officers’ actions.
