Lisa Mateo visited the Goya kitchen for a look at the My Plate Campaign. MiPlato or MyPlate, is a national health initiative launched by Michelle Obama as part of the Let`s Move program to encourage Americans to eat healthy.

MyPlate is an easy to follow tool that illustrates the five food groups including vegetables, grains, fruits, proteins and dairy, and are the building blocks for a healthy diet. Goya Foods collaborated with The First Lady to launch MyPlate/MiPlatoas a simple reminder that before we eat, we need to think about what and  how much goes on or in our plate, cup or bowl.

It`s about portion control! As part of the initiative, Goya launched the official MyPlate cookbook featuring 30 healthy Latin recipes with 10 complete dishes from around the world. Lisa learned how to make Skinny Pizza.
