Bronx man charged with murder and arson after police find body in burning apartment

A Bronx man has been charged with arson and murder after a 56-year-old man was found burned with stab wounds to the neck.

Leo Huggins, 48, is under arrest after the body of Gregory Evans was discovered under a mattress inside a burning Tremont apartment.  Evans was taken to St. Barnabus Hospital where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.

Officers caught Huggins at the corner of East Fordham Rd. and Webster Ave. Saturday.BronxMan
