Obama and NRA go head-to-head as assault weapons ban proposal is readied

President Obama and the National Rifle Association are gearing up for their version of pistols at dawn over White House proposals to re-instate an assault weapons ban.

Obama reaffirmed his position on Friday, after the NRA issued a statement implying he did not have the political will to move on a ban.

Vice President Joe Biden plans to present his gun safety recommendations to the President Tuesday.
