Fake dog poop fines like these are freaking out Brooklyn dog owners.

It’s always a good thing to clean up after your dog, but the penalties are not as bad as they may seem – unless you’re in Brooklyn Heights?

A sign there has dog owners believing the fine is a thousand dollars, but that’s a load of you-know-what.  The fine is only $250.

City officials say the public health law that’s cited on the sign doesn’t even exist and the fine was never a thousand dollars.
