Official: Burning Sandy debris poses no risk, but some have doubts

A Long Island official insists it’s safe to burn debris left from Superstorm Sandy.

Three incinerators were brought to Brookhaven to clean up the mess, leaving residents concerned with the air quality.

Town Supervisor Ed Romaine says tests prove that this method is safe and there are no health risks.

Still, a citizens advocacy group wants to see the numbers and is not satisfied with the preliminary results.
