A woman was injured in a fire at this Upper West Side building. (PIX11 News)

An early morning fire in a historic Upper West Side building critically injured an elderly woman.

The blaze broke out in the woman’s fourth- floor apartment on Broadway and West 93rd Street. She’s in New York Presbyterian Hospital with severe burns, and was listed in critical but stable condition.

No one else was hurt and the fire did minimal damage to the building that used to be the Narragansett Hotel.
