There are more signs of progress nearly two months after NYU Langone Medical Center was damaged by Sandy.

NYU officials will announce the phased reopening of the hospital’s main clinical facility during a press conference later Thursday morning.

The medical center was evacuated after it flooded, and a back-up generator failed the night of the storm.

Officials say the storm caused more than $1 billion in damage.
