Runners have three options to choose from to compensate them after the marathon was canceled because of Hurricane Sandy.

If you couldn’t run the ING New York City marathon because of Hurricane Sandy, there’s some good news for you — marathoners can now get their money back.

Officials originally had a no-refund policy, but that has since changed.

Runners have three options to choose from. One is to get a refund; the second is to  reserve a spot in the 2013, 2014 or 2015 marathons; and third is to accept a spot in March’s half-marathon.
