Heartbreak continues in Newtown, as six more victims are laid to rest

As a community continues to grieve, six more funerals were held Thursday in Newtown.

Seven-year-old Grace McDonnell was laid to rest today.  Grace loved to paint.  In her honor, the little girl’s family drew pictures of things she loved on her coffin.

Also laid to rest was six-year-old Benjamin Andrew Wheeler.  Benjamin was remembered as a “bright and spirited boy” who loved the first grade.


Catherine Hubbard

Funeral services were also held for six-year-old Catherine Hubbard.  Catherine had a love for animals.  In her honor, the family requested donations on her behalf to go to an animal shelter.

Six-year-old Jesse Lewis was also laid to rest today.  Jesse was remembered as a “brave and lively” little boy.

Services were also held for six-year-old Allison Wyatt.  Allison was remembered for her generosity, and talent in drawing.

A funeral was also held for 52-year-old Anne Marie Murphy, a teacher at the school who died trying to protect the children in her class.
