Newlyweds find class ring, return it to Staten Island Sandy victim

Superstorm Sandy hit him hard but a tiny blast from the past has given one Staten Island man a link to a much simpler time.

It came from newlyweds on their honeymoon in the Bahamas.

sandy ring 2They found a ring in the sand caked in coral and wrapped in seaweed.

It turned out to be a college ring — Wagner College, Class of ‘76.

They tracked down the owner who, of course, could use some good news.

The man lost the ring 35 years ago in the same spot where it was found.
