NEW YORK (PIX11) – As the investigation continues in the brazen murder of a man on a busy Midtown street, authorities have reportedly identified one of two suspects linked to the killing.

According to reports, cops have launched a search for the man they believe was behind the wheel of the getaway car soon after the fatal shooting 31-year-old Brandon Lincoln Woodard along West 58th Street.

Detectives describe the suspect as being a “low-level criminal from Queens,” a source told the New York Times. Officials believe the shooting was linked to drugs or money.

The lead comes a day after police questioned an individual in connection with the case. That person, who not identified, was later released and found to be not a person of interest or a suspect.
