A century-old statue of Jesus was stolen from a Brooklyn church and the robbery was caught on videotape.

Police are investigating the theft of a Jesus statue in Williamsburg as a hate crime. The statue was nearly 4-feet high and made of stone.

The crime was caught on security video and shows a man lifting the statue, then walking away with it.

The statue stood outside Saints Peter and Paul Rectory for over 10 years.

The priest from that church plans on releasing the surveillance video hoping someone will help them catch the thief.
