Senator Kirsten Gillibrand was brought to tears talking about the devastation she witnessed after Sandy. She was in Washington, D.C. yesterday talking about the damage.

When she began discussing the story of brothers Brandon and Connor Moore — just 2- and 4-years-old — she became visibly emotional, making it crystal clear just how touched she was by the  boys’ tragic deaths at the height of the storm.

Gillibrand is a mother of two young boys ages 9 and 4.
