HARLEM (WPIX)— The NYPD is looking for a man that tried to rape a woman in Harlem. According to police, the 22 year-old woman was walking near West 118th street and Lenox Avenue Sunday at approximately 7pm when a man attacked her. The man, armed with a gun, threw her to the ground and attempted to rape her, said police.
But a good samaritan intervened and stopped the attack. The man ran away, said police.
According to the NYPD, the attacker is a black man between 30 and 35 years-old. He is 5’9″ to 5’10” and was wearing a black hoodie and black bubble jacket.
