Stephanie Tsoflias
Stephanie Tsoflias spends her day in the field to bring you compelling reports for the PIX11 News at 5 and 10. She comes to New York from Florida, where she began her news career.
A curious person by nature, Stephanie puts her love to ask questions to work each day to get answers for viewers like you. There’s no question she’s afraid to ask, and no story too big to conquer. She’s the voice for people who don’t have one.
Stephanie’s passion to tell stories has put her in the position to cover some of the nation’s biggest stories. At 23, during her first job in Gainesville, Florida, Stephanie was selected as one of 12 journalists in the state to witness the execution of the Gainesville Killer, Danny Rolling. A few years later, during President Barack Obama’s first run for president, Stephanie landed a one-on-one exclusive interview with Vice President Joe Biden, where they discussed the foreclosure crisis and life on the campaign trial.
Now, close to two years into her tenure at PIX11 News, Stephanie has found herself embedded in the community from New York to New Jersey to Connecticut. Her Rolodex is full of community contacts, and she doesn’t hesitate to make beat calls over the weekend, tracking down stories that matter to you. She has also covered major news events for the station, such as Hurricanes Sandy and Irene and the Newtown massacre.
Stephanie hails from Philadelphia. Though she’s never tried a cheese steak (true story!), she’s a lover of all things food and cooking. Stephanie has completed three NYC ING Marathons and is a hot-yoga enthusiast.
