Linda Church joined the Emmy award winning PIX Morning News with its debut in June 2000 as weather anchor.
Church, who has forecasted weather for New York news’ viewers since 1987, is familiar to PIX viewers as she was the station’s weekend weather forecaster from 1990 to 1996. Prior to working at PIX, Church was WCBS’s News 2 at Noon’s Weather Anchor, and she worked for WNBC-TV in New York from 1987-1990.
She began her career as weather anchor at WCJB-TV in Gainesville, Florida and also worked at stations in Cleveland, Ohio, New Haven, Connecticut and Charleston, West Virginia.
Linda went to the University of Florida and did some graduate school work in Environmental Science at the University of New Haven. She also has a seal from the American Meteorological Society.
When not reporting on the weather, Linda enjoys jogging, yoga and spending time with her dog, which she adopted in 2003 from PIX’s on-air “adopt a pet series.”
