Fire erupts on Amtrak track at Penn Station: FDNY

NEW YORK — A fire broke out on an Amtrak track at Penn Station Wednesday morning, according to FDNY.

Fire crews have responded to the track 4 fire, FDNY tweeted at 10:37 a.m.

There was no immediate word on how the fire impacted the commute.

The fire broke out shortly after a smoke condition at Grand Central prompted a response from emergency officials.
