21 injured when fire extinguisher system goes off at Brooklyn gas station

BROOKLYN — FDNY says 21 people suffered minor injuries Saturday when fire extinguisher system went off at a gas station in Brooklyn.

It happened around 3:14 p.m. at Foster Avenue and East 80th Street in Brooklyn.

There was not a fire, but the gas stations fire extinguisher system went off, spraying dozens of people.

Eleven people were transported to area hospital and 10 people refused medical attention.
