MIDTOWN, Manhattan — If you're looking to get into the holiday spirit, look no further than the Bank of America Winter Village at Bryant Park.
More than 125 shopkeepers gather yearly at the 42nd street and 5th avenue park location to sell jewelry, decorative goods, handmade gifts and speciality foods from top eateries across the city.
The idea of the outdoor holiday shops comes from the popular European-style open-air markets, a destination hot-spot for traveling vendors across Europe.

Bryant Park also boasts a popular skating rink, known to be less crowed than The Rink at Rockefeller Center.
The rink itself is a 17,000-square-foot setup. Skating is free and open daily until 10 p.m. Skate rentals cost $20 and wait-times will vary.
Then, there's Le Carrousel. The iconic merry-go-round was designed to match the classical French style of Bryant Park, featuring 14 animals moving to the sounds of French cabaret music.
In December, the carousel even gets a special visit from Santa and his special helpers -- proving to be the perfect free photo opportunity for locals and tourists alike.
