Man dies after being hit by tractor-trailer in Williamsburg

WILLIAMSBURG, Brooklyn — A 21-year-old man died after he was was hit by a tractor-trailer in Brooklyn on Thursday morning, police and fire officials said.

The man was walking to his car, which was parked on Kent Avenue near S. 10th Street, around 11:10 a.m when he was hit by the rear wheels of a tractor-trailer, police said.

The tractor-trailer was heading north on Kent at the time, police said. The driver stayed at the scene of the crash and no arrest has been made.

The victim was rushed to Mount Sinai Beth Israel Hospital in critical condition, but eventually succumbed to his injuries, an NYPD spokesman said.  The victim’s name has not been released.
