MANHATTAN — Thanksgiving may be all about the turkey and family later in the day, but from 9 a.m.  through noon, it’s all about the balloons, marching bands and floats in the 90th annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

The very first balloon used in the parade was Felix the Cat in 1927. Teams of balloon handlers have pulled the massive balloons along the parade route every year since; each balloon is about 40 feet tall.

Submit photos from the parade along with a short description and your name and we’ll add them to our gallery.
