POMONOK, Queens – A baby girl and two adults were hospitalized following a fire inside a Queens apartment, FDNY said.

Flames broke out at 65-54 Parson Blvd. around 1:40 a.m. Friday, according to the FDNY. Fire officials say the flames were confined to just one first-floor apartment, but the smoke was so thick that neighbors had to evacuate to the roof.

The victims were all taken to a local hospital, where the youngest patient is in serious condition due to smoke inhalation. Her mother passed out, possibly from smoke inhalation, and was carried away from the scene on a stretcher.

No word on the third victim's injuries.

The cause of the fire is still unknown at this time.

The blaze was brought under control in about an hour. Fire officials are continuing to investigate its cause.
