2 men struck by truck on Upper West Side

UPPER WEST SIDE, Manhattan – Police say two men were struck by a truck on the Upper West Side early Tuesday.

It happened at Amsterdam Avenue and W. 83rd Street around 5 a.m.

The victims, ages 24 and 26, were taken to a local hospital, police said. The younger victim is in critical condition while the older man has minor injuries.

Police are not sure what type of truck struck the pedestrians.
