SAN FRANCISCO — Marijuana was a winner on Tuesday in multiple races.
California, Massachusetts and Nevada voted to legalize the recreational use of marijuana, giving a huge boost to the campaign to allow pot nationwide. The legalization pertains to those 21 and older, CNN reports.
Prior to the news out of Massachusetts and Nevada, the Associated Press reported if "yes" votes prevailed across the board in other states, more than 23 percent of the U.S. population would then live in states where recreational pot is legal.
Florida voters also approved marijuana for medicinal purposes.
