THE BRONX — Police have released photos of two men accused of attacking a 72-year-old woman and stealing her purse in the Bronx.

The woman was near Courtlandt Avenue and 154th Street on Sept. 3 about 10:30 a.m. when two men snuck up behind her, police said. They hit her in the face, grabbed the woman’s bag and fled eastbound on E. 154th Street.

The woman refused medical attention at the scene.

On Saturday, police released photos of the two men accused of robbing the woman.

One man is described as being between 35 to 40 years old and 5 feet 5 inches.

The second man is described as being between 35 to 40 years old and 5 feet 10 inches.
