Man killed in hit-and-run in Queens: NYPD

NORTH CORONA, Queens — A man was struck and killed during a hit-and-run incident Friday night in the North Corona section of Queens.

The man was walking in the vicinity of 104th Street and 41st Avenue when he was struck by a dark colored SUV turning left from 104th Street onto 41st, police said.

The driver fled the scene after allegedly striking the man.

Police responded to the scene and found the victim, 46, laying in the crosswalk unconscious and unresponsive. He suffered severe trauma to his body and head.

The victim’s identification is being withheld pending family notification.
