Person falls down elevator shaft in East Williamsburg, suffers serious injury: EMS

EAST WILLIAMSBURG, Brooklyn — A person suffered a serious injury when falling down an elevator shaft in an East Williamsburg building on Tuesday, according to EMS.

A report of a person falling down an elevator shaft at 246 Johnson Ave. was made at 10:15 a.m., EMS said.

The victim suffered a serious injury.

The building may have been under construction at the time, officials said.

The incident happened on a street lined with buildings selling manufacturing supplies, Google Maps shows.
