SUNSET PARK, Brooklyn — Police are asking for the public’s help Saturday in the search for a man connected to a robbery that occurred in the Sunset Park section of Brooklyn and left a woman injured.

Around 7 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 24, the man allegedly approached the 79-year-old victim from behind as she was walking in the vicinity of 53rd Street between Fourth and Fifth avenues in Sunset Park, police said.

He allegedly grabbed the woman’s bag, and she fell to the ground and hit her head.

The man fled in an unknown direction. The woman was taken to a local hospital to be treated for her injuries.

The man is described as being between 40 and 50 years old. He was last seen wearing a black leather jacket, dark colored jeans and sneakers. He can be seen in a surveillance photo obtained by police and released to the public.
