THE BRONX — A 19-year-old man turned himself in a day after he fled police custody in the Bronx.

Narciso Rosario, of the Bronx, and another 26-year-old man were being placed into custody at the intersection of East 178th Street and Hughes Avenue Monday about 9:40 p.m., police said. Officers were struggling to restrain the one man when Rosario, who was already handcuffed, fled and ran down Hughes Avenue.

On Tuesday, Rosario turned himself in, police said.

He has been charged with escaping police custody, criminal possession of a controlled substance, petit larceny, criminal possession of stolen property and unlawful possession of marijuana.
