CHELSEA, Manhattan — Police released a photo of the suspect accused of slashing a man and robbing him inside the Old Navy store in Chelsea Friday evening.

A 22-year-old man was shopping in Old Navy on Sixth Avenue about 5:20 p.m. when a person came up to him and slashed him on the left side of his torso, police said. The thief then took $80 from the man’s pants pocket ad fled the store.

The man was taken to the hospital and treated for his injury, police said.

The thief is described as a bearded man in his late 20s to early 30s. He was last seen wearing a two-toned gray sweatshirt, black pants and black sneakers, according to police.
