Cider Week NYC is here

Red fruits like an apple can be some of the healthiest foods to eat. The deeper the color, the more effective they are at helping turn off obesity genes.

Cider Week New York City started Oct. 21.

New Yorkers can get their apple a day in liquid form now; Cider Week NYC, which is actually 10 days, started Friday.

The annual festival highlights cider with a variety of tastings, classes and dinners from Oct. 21-Oct. 30. Fans of the drink can go to more than 20 events in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens.
