FLATLANDS, Brooklyn — Police released a sketch and surveillance video of a man wanted for walking on the street naked and allegedly attempting to rape a woman in Flatlands, Brooklyn in August.

The man was first reported walking with no clothes on East 52nd Street between Avenues J and I on Aug. 12 about 6 a.m., police said.

"I hope they catch him soon," Penny Forester, a neighbor, told PIX 11 News.

Surveillance video released Friday captured the naked man, who was described as being between 25 to 35 years old and 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 9 inches.

On Aug. 29 about 11:15 p.m., a woman called police saying she was attacked by a man with no clothes on. The woman was walking home near East 55th Street and Avenue J when the naked man grabbed her by the neck and threw her to the ground, police said. He then forcibly touched her.

The woman was able to break free and the man fled the area, according to police.

She refused medical attention.

The woman helped police create a sketch of the naked attacker that was also release on Friday.

One man said he saw the same naked man in this neighborhood just last week.

"I just thought his wife put him out of the house," Anthony Burrell, told PIX 11 News. "I didn't look too closely at him because I didn't want him saying 'what are you looking at?'"
