NEW YORK – There are signs of progress on the Second Avenue subway line.

The MTA has started running test trains through the new Second Avenue subway tunnels, new video shows.

On Sunday, Transit junkie and YouTube user Dj Hammers filmed an incoming train at the the Lexington Avenue- 63rd Street stop on the F line. Once that opens – it will be a transfer point to the Q line.

Weights were seen inside the train as a way to simulate commuters.

The MTA says these tracks will open up on December 31.
