WAYNE N.J. — A New Jersey mall was evacuated Monday night as a precaution after a customer reported finding a written bomb threat.
Police Chief James Clark told NorthJersey.com that a customer approached mall security staff saying they found a note near the food court containing a bomb threat.
As a precaution, police evacuated the mall and conducted a sweep to investigate.
A video uploaded to Twitter showed customers running through a store at the mall toward the exit.
Clark said there is no danger to the public and no bomb was discovered.
The customer who made the claim was taken into custody and is being evaluated.
