DEAL, N.J. — Over 200 golfers took to the fairway at Deal and Hollywood Golf Clubs Thursday to benefit the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation.

The 18th Annual Jersey Shore Golf Tournament ended with a celebratory dinner, where awards were presented to students. Ehe scholarships go to thousands of children whose parents are Marine of Navy service members.

"You know the marines raise their right hand to serve, the children come along whether they’re ready or not,” said Margaret Davis, President and CEO of the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation.

Over $7 million in scholarships were awarded to over 2,400 students nationwide this school year.
