Man, 25, found dead on Brooklyn train tracks may have been subway surfing

PARK SLOPE, Brooklyn — A suspected subway surfer was found dead on the tracks at a Brooklyn train station Wednesday, authorities said.

The body of a 25-year-old man was discovered about 4:30 a.m. on the southbound tracks near the 4th Avenue-9th Street subway station in Brooklyn, police said.

Police said the man was last seen walking between subways cars and then climbed to the top of the train.

The deceased’s name has not been released, pending family notification. An autopsy will determine his cause of death.
