CLAREMONT, The Bronx — Two people were found dead in a Bronx apartment Saturday night.

Fire officials say they received a call around 7:20 p.m., for a gas leak at 1763 Fulton Ave., in the Claremont section of the borough.

When firefighters arrived, they found a 27-year-old male and a 50-year-old female with gunshot wounds to the head. They were both pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said the man and woman were mother and son. They were identified as Sharon Epps, 50, and Tyrell Bell, 27, police said.

They had lived in the apartment for several years, according to neighbors.

A man is being questioned by police in connection with the incident. Police sources said he is the woman's husband and the son's stepfather.
